Wide Web Slitting Capabilities – ACT Tapes

At ACT Tapes, our wide web slitting operation is built for precision, scale, and efficiency. With eleven (11) wide web slitters, including six (6) fully automated machines, we offer a full range of advanced features designed to maximize quality and output while minimizing waste.

Advanced Features & Automation

  • Automated Wrapping & Packaging – Closed-core shrink wrapping, open-core sleeve wrapping, and automatic case assembly for streamlined production.
  • Inline Enhancements – PSA roll labeling, tabbing, and open/close core wrapping integrated directly into production.
  • Universal Tooling – Roll widths greater than 75mm produced automatically with full versatility.
  • Laser Core Positioning & Automatic Blade Adjustment – Precision accuracy to +/– 0.1mm.

Slitting & Rewinding Capabilities

  • Slitting Methods: Razor, score, and shear set-ups
  • Core Sizes: 1”, 1 ½”, 3”, and up to 6” I.D.
  • Rewind Options: Lock core, slip core, traditional differential, and pneumatic differential (each roll independent).
  • Finished Rolls: Up to 800mm O.D. with automatic offload.
  • Profile Controls: Minimum gap, center surface, taper tension, and lay-on rollers for maximum consistency.
  • Programmable Roll Profiles: Computerized winding controls allow torque and speed adjustments, plus stored production recipes for repeatability.

Wide Web Laminating

  • Six (6) units, up to 1,800mm (70.87”) wide.
  • Substrates include: Non-PSA, PSA single-faced, PSA double-coated, paper, cloth, films, specialty materials, butyl rubber, foams, vinyl, PVC, and more.
  • Capable of converting any PSA or non-PSA material up to 5mm in thickness.
